This post highlights the insights of all the students studying in schools and colleges and dealing with the new normal that is-ONLINE TEACHING METHOD or ONLINE STUDIES. The covid-19 pandemic hit India around March 2020, leading to lockdown and shifting from all-time physical teaching methods to online/virtual teaching mode.
The transition has been difficult for both teachers as well students to accommodate.
But with the advancement in time, we all have somewhere fitted in the shoe of online teaching.
➟Online teaching platforms are growing tenfolds in the pandemic providing an opportunity for every student to enhance their skills. There are so many free online teaching platforms available on YouTube that provide you with quality content.
The best thing about this method is, suppose you don’t understand some concepts of your class teacher you can study it from another source.
When we used to attend classes physically, we were bound to take the lectures, no matter if we got what the teacher was saying or not!
➟For Engineering or any other course-pursuing students, this pandemic can be a great deal for them. They can enhance their skills and study a variety of things from Youtube and various other platforms.
Coming to the underwhelming aspects of online learning:
➟The first disadvantage is- lack of socializing, which is a core for the brain development of a child. Consider yourself when you were in kindergarten and imagine taking online classes where you don’t even know how to write properly!
The best part of being in kindergarten in our time was, enjoying life, making new friends, playing in the playground, which in today’s time is absent and affects the growth of the child.
➟Another disadvantage is continuous contact with electronic devices like phones, laptops, tabs, etc. It hampers brain functioning and affects your eyesight as well.
The same applies to students studying from classes 8th-12th.
➟The most precious part for any college student is college/campus life, and abstaining from it puts in an inferiority complexion in every student. You cannot apply your theoretical knowledge to practical knowledge by merely sitting at home. We are just giving complete fees and getting no knowledge and advantage out of it.
Yet the situation is frustrating/challenging but, we need to be patient and not lose hope. In this time also, people are achieving their goals by being dedicated to their work and not wandering around and wasting their time on social networking sites.
Again, too much of anything is harmful so, manage your timetable accordingly.
➟Remember to do regular exercise to keep your body and mind healthy.
➟Kudos to you if you are making it in this challenging time.
